Joseph McCarthy was an American politician who served as a Republican U.S. Senator from 1947 through 1957, which was the year he passed away. After the Cuban revolution in 1959, Cuba became very independent on Soviet Unions marketing and military aid. Cuba became the ally of the Soviet Union during the Cold War.
